About the project

A private place to plan, together

Hæfen is a web app for planning things with the people you actually see (a recurring dinner crew, a book club, a family). Planning with the same group usually scatters across chat threads that get chaotic and event apps that make you rebuild the guest list every time, on platforms designed to keep you scrolling.

I wanted a calmer alternative, one that keeps the group instead of the noise. So I designed the brand and the product, then built it. The signature interface is a spatial map of your people, arranged by closeness around a center: every person takes deliberate space, so the app stays about relationships, not metrics. No feed, no followers, no ads.

I used Claude Code as an implementation engine while keeping the architecture, the decisions, and the verification my own.

It's in closed beta now at haefen.com, with the core flow live and in use by an early group of testers.
