Project Aster
In a world of competing ideas, why do you believe what you believe?

Project Aster is an educational artwork synthesized from three years of research into belief formation. It maps the lifecycle of belief, from Ignorance and Observation through Evaluation and Acceptance, to the forces that distort it along the way: Complacency, Denial, Deception, and Silence.
Every detail reflects the paradox that while we cannot fully access reality, our minds are wired for meaning and the transcendental.

The stamp in the corner of Project Aster is crafted from genuine copper, chosen to represent the timelessness and frailty of human curiosity.
Over time, the copper will patina. Your choice to clean it or let it age becomes an interactive metaphor for the journey the poster itself depicts: a tangible choice between complacency and intentional evaluation in your own search for truth. This is what makes it a living artifact.
The Genesis Run
To launch the project, I am releasing a one-time, exclusive sale of 44 final-quality, copper-foiled posters from the original 2023 production. These are the only posters of this specific run that will ever be sold. Each poster is a living artifact from the project's origin, offering a unique opportunity to own a piece of its history before the wider release of future print-on-demand and digital versions.
Author's Note
Raised in the pluralist city of Lagos, Nigeria, I learned from an early age that smart, decent people can still be wrong. I've now been an expat for over half my life, residing in four countries across three continents, and what I've learned is that we all share an inherent yearning for a stable, consistent worldview. This need is made urgent by our hopes and fears, which drive us to fill the gaps because there is never enough information.
That tension is where Project Aster began. I set out to map the complex lifecycle of belief into a single, intelligible visual structure. The result sits between infographic and art object: it prioritizes intelligibility alongside aesthetic experience.
Later this year, I'll be launching a wider release through Kickstarter. But for now, this Genesis Run of 44 First Edition prints is the only way to own one.
